ScamVerify™ is an AI-powered threat intelligence platform that helps you verify phone numbers, websites, text messages, emails, documents, and QR codes using federal data, carrier forensics, and transparent evidence. You can also forward suspicious emails to scan@scamverify.ai for instant AI analysis.
It started with a laptop that never arrived.
When I was a college student, Craigslist was the go-to for broke students trying to stretch every dollar. I needed a laptop and found what looked like a great deal: local seller, photos of the actual machine, a time and place to meet. Then, 30 minutes before the meetup, he asked me to send payment first. I did. He disappeared.
I told myself I'd never get scammed again.
But scams have evolved far beyond Craigslist. My mom recently called me, shaken, because she'd gotten a call from someone who sounded exactly like her cousin, same voice, same mannerisms, asking for money. Something felt off, so she called me instead of sending anything. I looked up the number. VoIP. Called it back. No answer. The caller had used AI voice cloning to impersonate a family member.
That's the reality now. Deepfake voices, spoofed numbers, convincing phishing sites, AI-generated texts nearly indistinguishable from real ones. And your information is already out there. I've lost count of the breach-notification letters I've received, each offering the same hollow consolation: a year of free credit monitoring.
We need tools to fight back. Not black boxes that hand you a trust score with no explanation. Real tools that show you exactly why something is suspicious, backed by government data and hard evidence. That's why I built ScamVerify™.
Built by someone who has
fought fraud at scale.
ScamVerify™ is built by Leo Kim, a technology executive with 25 years building platforms at scale. He built it to give ordinary people the kind of evidence-backed defense that used to exist only inside large companies.
His career in fraud prevention started at Tagged and Myspace, where he led engineering teams that built ML-based fraud detection and platform-safety systems, working directly with the FBI, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and state attorneys general to combat online threats across platforms serving over 150 million users.
At ADP, as SVP of Product Development, he led a $3.2B portfolio and oversaw 12 production AI/ML systems, including an NLP-powered platform handling 15 million customer interactions a year. At Hyland Software, as EVP and Chief Product Officer, he led AI platform commercialization for a $1.2B PE-backed enterprise portfolio.
He holds two U.S. patents in AI, an MBA from USC, and a BA from UC Berkeley, where that Craigslist scam happened all those years ago.
Someone is accountable for what Ava says.
The scams are studied, the threat reports are signed and dated, and a real person stands behind the verdicts the graph produces, under the ScamVerify Threat Research name. It is the difference between trusting an algorithm and trusting someone who uses one and answers for it.
Grounded in the record, never a guess.
ScamVerify™ is only as good as what it can prove. Here is what happens between your question and the answer.
She starts from the record.
Every number, link, and message is checked against the largest public scam record in the country, 15.5M+ FTC and FCC complaints, plus the carrier networks fraud hides behind.
She connects it to the bigger picture.
The scam-ring engine links scattered numbers into active campaigns over time, so a number that looks new but belongs to a known ring is caught anyway.
She weighs it, then shows her work.
The AI synthesizes every signal into a plain-English verdict and lists every source behind it. Never a black box, never a guess.
Every number, link, and script checked against the largest public scam record in the country, with FTC data synced hourly.
Line type, CNAM, and network status, plus the high-risk carriers fraud rings hide behind. Proprietary.
When your neighbors report a number, Ava knows before it reaches any public database. A moat a general chatbot cannot have.
Connects scattered numbers into campaigns over time and catches emerging rings as they fire.
Knows when an unknown number sits inside a range that is actively firing right now.
FTC, FCC, carrier line databases, robocall feeds, threat feeds, registries, and court records, refreshed continuously.
Protection that doesn't cost your privacy.
We never sell your data.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. You are the customer, not the product.
We never train AI on your private life.
What Ava learns about the world she learns from public records, never from your checks or your history.
Every verdict shows its sources.
No opaque trust score. You see exactly why something is flagged, and you can check the evidence yourself.
Delete everything in one click.
Everything Ava remembers is yours to erase, for good, whenever you want. No archived copy waiting in the background.
The honest answers, up front.
